Consultant Spotlight on Dan Hally
Dan Hally, Captain, Asotin County Sheriff's Office, specializes in investigating Internet crimes against children, interviewing victims of violent crimes, and improving law enforcement officers' understanding of the trauma that victims experience. He has experience in law enforcement and victim assistance in Native American communities. He is also a forensic artist.

Disabilities Curriculum Available in English & Spanish
Crime victims with disabilities may face challenges other victims don't, such as the ability to access services or communicate with advocates. Supporting Crime Victims With Disabilities focuses on recognizing and addressing these challenges so that all victims with disabilities receive the necessary support and assistance. This new OVC instructor-led training is available in English and Spanish.

VictimLaw: A Comprehensive Resource on Victims' Rights
VictimLaw, a popular online legal resource on crime victims' rights, is now centrally located on the OVC TTAC Web site. VictimLaw is a comprehensive, user-friendly, database of victims' rights statutes, tribal laws, constitutional amendments, court rules, administrative code provisions, and case summaries of related court decisions.

Victim Assistance Training Online is a basic victim advocacy web-based training program that offers victim service providers and allied professionals the opportunity to acquire the basic skills and knowledge they need to better assist victims of crime. Identity Theft Victim Assistance Online Training: Supporting Victims' Financial and Emotional Recovery is a user-friendly e-learning tool that will teach victim service professionals and allied professionals knowledge and skills to more effectively serve victims of identity theft and assist with their financial and emotional recovery. |

OVC released Multidisciplinary Response to Crime Victims With Disabilities—the product of a 3-year project by two grantees to adapt and replicate their innovative, multidisciplinary response models. The replication guides in this set discuss how adult protective services, human services agencies, law enforcement, disability and Deaf advocates, self-advocates, and others can work together to ensure equal and effective access to the criminal justice system for persons with disabilities. |
OVC announces the 2013 National Crime Victims' Rights Week theme and colors. The theme for NCVRW 2013—to be observed April 21–27—is "New Challenges. New Solutions." and the theme colors are midnight blue and orange. The theme colors are presented in full-color (CMYK) builds. Comparable spot colors and RBG values are available as well.
