Sept. 29, 2011 — Ninjavideo founder pleads guilty to criminal copyright conspiracy

Hana A. Beshara, of Las Vegas, pleaded guilty for her role in founding NinjaVideo.net, a website that provided millions of users with the ability to illegally download copies of copyright-protected movies and television program in high-quality formats. The National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center led the investigation that resulted in Beshara's arrest. Full Story


Sept. 29, 2011 — San Diego-area employer partners with ICE to ensure legal workforce and prevent fraud

Sept. 29, 2011 — 165 kilograms of cocaine seized from vessel during multi-agency operation

A multi-agency law enforcement team seized 165 kilograms of cocaine from inside a green, single engine, fiberglass vessel that attempted to illegally enter the western coast of Puerto Rico. The street value of the cocaine was estimated at $4.125 million. Full Story


Sept. 28, 2011 — ICE arrests more than 2,900 convicted criminal aliens, fugitives in enforcement operation throughout all 50 states

ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) announced the results of a seven-day national "Cross Check" enforcement operation Wednesday. ICE ERO officers arrested more than 2,900 convicted criminal aliens during the operation, making it the most successful in the agency's history. Full Story


Sept. 26, 2011 — Cruise ship passengers arrested for attempting to transport cocaine

Two U.S. citizens were arrested Sunday for attempting to transport 1,694 grams of cocaine concealed in a backpack through the San Juan seaport. The passengers were traveling onboard the "Carnival Victory" cruise ship. Both passengers and the narcotics were transferred to ICE Homeland Security Investigations' San Juan Border Enforcement Security Taskforce (BEST) for further investigation. Full Story
