July 21, 2011 — Flagstaff family indicted in forced labor scheme

Four members of a Flagstaff family are facing federal charges following their Thursday arrest for exploiting Vietnamese nationals for nearly a decade in an elaborate forced labor scheme at their I Do, I Do Wedding Shop in Flagstaff, Ariz. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) led the two-year, multi-agency investigation into the family's activities. Full Story


July 21, 2011 — ICE fines New England companies hiring unlawful employees

Following an investigation and audit of Form I-9 documents conducted by ICE HSI, 14 New England employers have been fined this fiscal year for various violations that enabled them to hire illegal aliens. Full Story

July 20, 2011 — 19 charged in nationwide drug trafficking, money laundering conspiracy

ICE HSI special agents uncovered a nationwide drug trafficking and money laundering conspiracy that involved 19 individuals in Florida and California. The individuals allegedly possessed and intended to distribute cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana. They also attempted to launder their drug proceeds through financial transactions. Full Story


July 20, 2011 — Mexican fugitive wanted for murdering off-duty Border Patrol agent removed from US

On Wednesday morning, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers turned over Jose Arturo Arreola-Lopez to the Mexican Attorney General's Office at the border crossing in Arizona. Arreola-Lopez and three other suspects are accused of murdering Border Patrol Agent Jorge Luis Salomon Martinez in September 2003. Full Story
