New Jersey man charged with distribution of child pornography

NEWARK, N.J. – A New Jersey man was charged Friday with distribution of child pornography, following an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

Richard Dabrowski, 45, a long-haul truck driver from Linden, N.J., was arrested at his home. According to court documents, Dabrowski downloaded and distributed videos and images of child pornography on the Internet. The videos and images downloaded by HSI special agents from Dabrowski's computer included photographs of prepubescent children engaging in sexual activity and being sexually abused.

If convicted, he faces 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

This investigation was part of Operation Predator, a nationwide HSI initiative to protect children from sexual predators, including those who travel overseas for sex with minors, Internet child pornographers, criminal alien sex offenders, and child sex traffickers. HSI encourages the public to report suspected child predators and any suspicious activity through its toll-free hotline at 1-866-DHS-2ICE or by completing its online tip form. Both are staffed around the clock by investigators.
