Jacksonville man sentenced to more than 6 years for accessing child porn

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Quentin Glenn Hodge, 29, of Jacksonville, was sentenced Monday to 76 months in federal prison and a 20-year term of supervised release for knowingly accessing child pornography on the Internet.

The case was investigated by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

U.S. District Judge Marcia Morales Howard also ordered Hodge to forfeit several computers and to register as a sex offender. Hodge has been in custody in connection with this case since July 2009.

According to court documents, in March 2009, JSO detectives visited Hodge's residence in Jacksonville, in response to a complaint regarding possible child exploitation and child pornography. While at the residence, the detectives seized several of Hodge's computers. Subsequent forensic analysis revealed that the computers contained numerous images of child pornography, child erotica, and website banners for child erotic sites.

Hodge was later interviewed and admitted, among other things, that he had been "chatting" online with underage girls periodically and that he had been accessing child pornography websites since July 2007.

This case was part of Operation Predator, a nationwide ICE initiative to identify, investigate, and arrest those who prey on children, including human traffickers, international sex tourists, Internet pornographers, and foreign-national predators whose crimes make them deportable.
