Ann F. Miles, Deputy Director
Ann Miles is the Deputy Director of the Office of Energy Projects. The Office is responsible for siting infrastructure projects including licensing, administration, and safety of non-federal hydropower projects; authorization of interstate natural gas pipelines, storage facilities, and liquefied natural gas terminals; and supplemental siting for interstate electric transmission facilities granted by the Energy Policy Act of 2005.
Ms. Miles joined the Commission in 1985. She has served in a number of managerial positions dealing primarily with licensing, compliance, and administration of hydropower projects. Most recently, she was Director of the Division of Hydropower Licensing, which is responsible for preparing environmental reviews of applications to construct and operate or relicense non-federal hydropower projects, including marine and hydrokinetic projects.
Ms. Miles has a M.S. in Resource Management from the University of Maryland.
