Work-Related Lung Disease Surveillance System (eWoRLD)
The Work-Related Lung Disease Surveillance System (eWoRLD), produced by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), presents surveillance data on occupationally-related respiratory diseases, and for many of these diseases selected data on related exposures are also presented.
In the tabbed area below, four tabs are presented to the user. The first, Diseases and Related Exposures, presents 16 sections concerning a major disease category and (where available) related occupational exposures, and one section concerning smoking status. The second, NORA Industrial Sector, presents nine sections on respiratory conditions by major industrial sector, as defined by the National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA). The third, Archives, presents tables and figures that were previously presented in eWoRLD. And, details on the major data sources, the methods used to compute specific statistics, and other technical information can be found in the fourth tab, Appendix.
Information available through eWoRLD is in the public domain and may be used without special permission; citation of the source is appreciated. See Suggested Citation Format.
