Brig. Gen. Timothy S. Green is Director of Installations and Mission Support, Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill. He is responsible for AMC expeditionary combat support, and provides oversight and guidance to garrison mission support groups to ensure world-class global mobility support. General Green oversees AMC civil engineer activities, including readiness, emergency services; AMC contracting activities, annually executing $4 billion in mission support contracts, including over $2 billion in commercial airlift contracts; AMC security forces activities providing security operations, anti-terrorism, force protection and information, physical, and personnel security programs for AMC's active-duty and Air Reserve component military and civilian personnel. The directorate provides policy and support to AMC's 11 air mobility wings and manages more than $24 billion in facilities and infrastructure at 24 continental U.S. and overseas en route locations.

General Green entered the Air Force in 1987 as a graduate of the ROTC program at Texas A&M University. General Green has commanded a civil engineer squadron and mission support group, served as the assistant executive officer to two Air Force chiefs of staff and as Special Assistant to two commanders of U.S. European Command/Supreme Allied Commander of Europe.

The general served as Director of Installations for Air Force Forces in Southwest Asia during the 2007-2008 surge of U.S. forces into Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom. He provided oversight and program management to execute engineer requirements and more than $1.2 billion in military construction at 15 installations in 10 countries throughout the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. General Green is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas.
