Brig. Gen. Randall C. "Arlo" Guthrie is the mobilization assistant to the Commander, 618th Air and Space Operations Center (Tanker Airlift Control Center), Scott Air Force Base, Ill. The 618th AOC (TACC) is responsible for planning, scheduling and directing a fleet of nearly 1,300 aircraft in support of combat delivery and strategic airlift, air refueling, and aeromedical operations around the world.

General Guthrie was commissioned through the Officer Training School in March 1983. He is a command pilot with more than 3,500 military and 8,000 civilian flying hours including tours flying T-37, F-15, C-5 and KC-135 aircraft. He has flown combat missions in Operation Enduring Freedom and combat support missions to Southwest Asia in addition to operations in Bosnia, Somalia and Haiti.

Prior to his current assignment, the general served in several key leadership positions, including vice commander of an Air Force Reserve wing and an air expeditionary combat wing. He has also served as the mobilization assistant to the LeMay Doctrine Center and senior individual mobilization augmentee to the Director of Global Reach Programs on the Air Staff at the Pentagon.
