Ms. Noël C. Nolta, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is the Deputy Director of Public Affairs, Secretary of the Air Force Office of Public Affairs, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. She is responsible for supporting the Director of Public Affairs in creating and executing strategies to build informed public support for the Air Force and air and space power. She provides guidance and policy oversight for internal information, community and media relations, and security review programs during peacetime and war, as well as resources and readiness oversight for 5,500 active duty, Guard and Reserve Airmen and civilians. Ms. Nolta also develops and integrates Air Staff-level strategic communication plans supporting major policy and programming initiatives.

Ms. Nolta entered the Air Force Reserve in 1986 after receiving her commission through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps. During her career, she has held a variety of assignments in operations management, personnel and public affairs. She has served as the Deputy Director of the Executive Issues Team, executive officer for the Director of Air Force Public Affairs and media operations officer for the Air Force press desk.

After Sept. 11, 2001, Ms. Nolta was mobilized to active duty and served continuously until October 2006. She served as the chief plans officer for the newly established Secretary of the Air Force Office of Communication, establishing for that organization strategic communication processes. She is also a colonel in the Air Force Reserve as the individual mobilization augmentee to the Chief of the Air Force Senate Liaison Office, Washington, D.C.
