Brig. Gen. Linda S. Marchione is the mobilization assistant to the Commander 14th Air Force/Joint Functional Component Command for Space.

General Marchione was commissioned in 1982 through the ROTC program at Indiana University, Bloomington. Her active-duty assignments include a tour as an events verification officer in the Missile Warning Operations Center, Cheyenne Mountain, Colo., and as a test engineer for Cheyenne Mountain reporting systems. As a Reservist, the general has served in a number of positions supporting theater missile warning and space operations as well as command, control, communication and computer integration for U.S. Space Command and U.S. Strategic Command.

The general previously served as mobilization assistant to the Director of Global Operations, U.S. Strategic Command, Offutt AFB, Neb., and the Director of Logistics and Communications at Air Force. Space Command, working a number of issues related to the ICBM modification standardization and upgrade programs. She was also mobilization assistant to the Director of the National Security Space Office at Headquarters U.S. Air Force where she was a key player in the development, coordination and implementation of the National Security Space Strategy Plan. The general is currently certified as an Airborne Emergency Action Officer on USSTRATCOM's Airborne Command Post. As a civilian, she is is a certified pharmacy technician.
