Alhurra and Al Hayah TV 2 Partner on New Program for the Egyptian Elections

Springfield, VA  Alhurra TV and Al Hayah TV 2 will join together for a series of high-profile interviews of Egyptian presidential candidates in the week leading up to the Egyptian election. In each episode of The President – Egypt 2012, a candidate will be interviewed by Alhurra’s Tarek El Shamy and Al Hayah TV 2’s Mahmoud Mosalam. The candidates will also answer questions from a panel of Egyptian experts and analysts within the program. The President – Egypt 2012 will air simultaneously on both networks beginning Sunday, May 13th.

The special eight-episode series will broadcast daily, with two additional episodes following the first round of elections if there is a run-off election. The President – Egypt 2012 will air from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Cairo time.

“As a joint production, The President—Egypt 2012 allows for even more viewers to hear the candidates in their own words discussing their platforms and visions for the future of Egypt,” stated MBN President Brian Conniff. “We look forward to working with Al Hayah TV 2 on this important project, as well as possible endeavors in the future.”
