Privacy Multistakeholder Process: Mobile Application Transparency

This web page provides details on the NTIA-convened privacy multistakeholder process regarding mobile application transparency. On June 15, 2012, NTIA announced that the goal of the first multistakeholder process is to develop a code of conduct to provide transparency in how companies providing applications and interactive services for mobile devices handle personal data.

The first meeting was held on July 12, 2012. A meeting schedule is below. Meetings are scheduled to be held in the Auditorium of the U.S. Department of Commerce, Herbert C. Hoover Building, 14th Street and Constitution Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. The location of the October – December meetings is subject to change. Please refer to this page for the most current information. The November 7, 2012, November 30, 2012, and December 18, 2012, meetings are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Eastern Time.

In response to stakeholder requests, NTIA has rescheduled the privacy multistakeholder meeting previously scheduled for October 10, 2012. The meeting will be held on October 16, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the boardroom of the American Institute of Architects. The AIA building is located at 1735 New York Avenue NW, Washington, DC.
