Pearce Statement in Recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Las Cruces, NM (October 12, 2012) – Today, Congressman Steve Pearce issued the following statement in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month:
“Families throughout New Mexico and across the country are affected each year by the tragic effects of breast cancer. I hope everyone will join me in remembering those we have lost and praying for those fighting breast cancer today. I also encourage my fellow New Mexicans to come together alongside breast cancer victims in their communities, and to support efforts to find a cure.”
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month was founded in 1985. It is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.
