The Department of Commerce’s Labor and Economic Analysis Division prepares regular analysis of the State's industry sectors, workforce and key economic trends.
The "Economic Monthly" gives a snapshot of current economic conditions in North Carolina as well as national trends. The bi-annual Economic Index provides detailed information on sixteen elements essential to economic development. Quarterly Economic Reports focus on key, current economic development issues.
The Division's industry studies provide insight into a particular industry’s contribution to the State's economy. The State of the Workforce Reports detail current conditions and examines future workforce projections.
In 2012, the Division will debut a bi-annual Industry Sector Report, which will analyze twelve key sectors via quantitative analysis of economic data and insight from industry experts.
