Appropriations
Appropriations projects direct federal funds to local communities to meet their needs, invest in the local economies, and put Oregonians to work. Each year, requests are submitted to members of Congress for consideration as part of the annual federal spending bills. As part of Senate-wide efforts to make the process more transparent, all offices are required to post on-line the projects submitted by each Senator.
For more information regarding the Congressional appropriations process, please see this report from the Congressional Research Service.
