Describes the steps used in the JAG formula calculation process and presents summary results of the FY 2005 formula calculations. The total funds made available for FY 2005 JAG awards was $495.5 million. Funds are distributed to States and localities based on population and violent crime data. In FY 2005, approximately $289 million was distributed to the States, $14 million to the territories and the District of Columbia, and $193 million to local governments. Electronic only.
