Forecast Discussion: Air quality forecast northern Indiana issued Friday, October 12, 2012 for Friday, October 12 - Monday, October 15. Revising today's fine particulate (PM2.5) air quality forecast for all regions of northern Indiana from moderate to good. Current hourly PM2.5 concentrations are solidly in the good range in northern Indiana. However, expect PM2.5 concentrations to increase enough on Saturday to forecast moderate levels of PM2.5 as a warm front moves through northern Indiana Saturday morning. High temperatures will climb into the lower 70s across northern Indiana by Saturday afternoon. This will be followed by a cold front moving through northern Indiana on Sunday which will return the air quality to the good range for Sunday and Monday. The next air quality forecast will be on Monday. Air quality forecast provided by Mark Neyman, IDEM, Office of Air Quality. |
