Forecast Discussion: Tuesday, partly to mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the low-80s will aid ozone formation in Louisiana. However, light to moderate easterly winds will help to disperse pollutants. These winds, combined with low pollutant carryover from Monday, will result in Good AQI levels statewide. Wednesday, partly to mostly sunny skies will continue to aid ozone formation across Louisiana. However, moderate southerly winds ahead of an approaching cold front will disperse pollutants, keeping AQI levels Good. Thursday, the cold front will move through Louisiana, producing scattered thunderstorms and moderate northerly winds. These weather conditions will disperse pollutants, yielding Good AQI levels statewide.
