Mission: The Performance Management
Office provides leadership, guidance, and consulting
services for the National Guard Bureau (NGB) staff
on activity based costing and management, strategic
performance management, and organizational streamlining
to align the Bureau with strategy and vision, provide
required information, improve programs, operate more
efficiently and provide more effective service to the
Bureau's customers. The Office has primary staff responsibility
for Project Minuteman that will link strategy with
required resources to enhance the readiness of the
National Guard. The Office is responsible for designing
and implementing a Performance Management or Knowledge
System.
Organization: NGB-ZC-PMO consists
of an Office Chief and mix of Government employees
(Military and Title V Civilians) and contractor support.
The Office Chief is an O-6 (Colonel).
Authority: Under the authority and
direction of CNGB and subject to the supervision and
guidance of the Assistant to the Chief. Functions comply
with intent of the 1993 Government Performance and
Results Act and the President's Management Agenda initiatives.
