BJS Human Subjects/Confidentiality Requirements

All recipients of funding from BJS are required to comply with the Federal requirements concerning human subjects research and confidentiality of information identifiable to a private person.

All applicants should review the following materials prior to submission of an application. These materials are in portable document format (pdf) which require the Adobe Acrobat reader to be viewed. The last two listed are electronic versions of the forms pertaining to human subjects research and data confidentiality which must be submitted with the application.

To request transmission of any of these materials by Fax or mail, call (202) 307-0765 or e-mail askbjs@usdoj.gov .

Required application forms and additional certifications are available from the BJS page Instructions for Applicants for Federal Assistance.
