VISION

Our vision is to be an organization of people who value each other and who treat each other and their customers with the respect that they deserve. TTB intends to uphold the laws, for which TTB is responsible, in a fair and practical way, affording all an opportunity to have public opinions heard without prejudice. TTB intends to carry out its mission without imposing inappropriate or undue burden on those from whom TTB collects taxes and those TTB regulates.

MISSION

TTB collects Federal excise taxes on alcohol, tobacco, firearms, and ammunition and assures compliance with Federal tobacco permitting and alcohol permitting, labeling, and marketing requirements to protect consumers.

OUR GOALS

Protect the Public
Assure that alcohol and tobacco industry operators meet permit requirements, and that alcohol beverage products comply with Federal production, labeling, and marketing requirements

Collect the Revenue
Enforce the tax code to ensure proper Federal tax payment on alcohol, tobacco, firearms, and ammunition products

Maximize performance, efficiency, and program results through effective resource and human capital management
