Pre-registration is open from September 3rd through November 5th. Onsite registration will be available for open events, but many events fill up during pre-registration. Don't miss out!

Featured Festival Activities of the Week: Sandhill Crane Behavior Workshop on the Bosque. We still have a few seats open for this exquisite opportunity to experience a full morning adventure for those eager to learn about sandhill cranes. The workshop teaches common vocalizations and body language. You will learn to recognize juveniles, tell species apart, and distinguish between dancing and aggression while coming to appreciate sandhill cranes. Tuesday 11/13, Wednesday 11/14, Thursday 11/15 and Friday 11/16. 5:30a-11:30a.

Advanced Wildlife Digital Photography. We still have a few seats open to this premier 3-day experience. A workshop designed for those eager to learn how to photograph the Bosque’s beauty. Sunday through Tuesday November 11-13th.

What image does Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge conjure in your mind? Is it that deafening flyout of snowgeese on a cold winter morning, that roadrunner you saw nab a lizard in the desert arboretum, or the sun rising behind the golden cottonwoods of the Rio Grande?  Maybe it was the first time your 13-year-old daughter hiked to the top of Chupadera Peak, when you caught a fish off of the Boardwalk, or when your wife put a leg band on a northern pintail at the 2011 Festival.  Make sure to check out the winners of this year's photo contest at the Friends Annual Dinner.
