The U.S. Navy’s Incentivized Energy Conservation (i-ENCON) program takes advantage of practices that reduce ships’ fuel consumption per hour while underway. i-ENCON provides training and rewards leading fuel conservers with special recognition and cash incentives to ship commanding officer’s discretionary funds.
