What animal's DNA is closest to humans?      Laura Panos: I am a genetic counselor that evaluates cancer patients and those with a family history of cancer. I counsel patients with any type of hereditary cancer syndrome. Probably chimpanzees. I believe we are about 96-98% similar. And although humans are all different, we still have over 99% similar DNA to each other! Crosby-Ironton High School in MN (10th grade student)
