The following Department of Defense and Air Force policies provide guidance on administering the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program:

Directives & Instructions
The DoD Directives and Instructions incorporate the recommendations set forth in the Task Force Report on Care for Victims of Sexual Assault as well as from Public Law 108-375, the Ronald W. Reagan National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2005 (Download Public Law 108-375, 1.0 MB), which directed the Department to have a sexual assault policy in place by January 1, 2005. Expedited Transfer of Military Service Members Who File Unrestricted Reports of Sexual Assault has received it's change 1, granting the extension until December 16, 2012. The DoD Directive provides overarching Department policy on sexual assault prevention and response. The DoD Instruction provides additional details on what the SAPR program should contain for the Department and Military Services. Air Force Policies and Procedures
