Washington, D.C. - Rep Tim Walberg released the following statement after the attacks on American diplomats and embassy workers in Libya and Egypt:

“My thoughts and prayers go out to the family members who lost loves ones in these hateful and unprovoked attacks on our consulate in Benghazi and Embassy in Cairo. America will not tolerate acts of violence against its citizens. But without strong leadership here at home, I fear these acts may only increase. We need to strengthen our relationships with countries that stand with us, such as Israel, as we continue to promote peace, democracy, religious freedom and respect for human life around the world.”
