Representative Young Discusses Everglades With Miss Florida

Rep. Young met with Miss Florida 2011, Kristina Janolo, to discuss the importance of Everglades restoration. As chairman of the Appropriations Committee, Rep. Young negotiated the final agreement that became the first major legislation authorizing the Everglades project.
Young said of the meeting: “I look forward to the day when we can declare the Everglades as healthy and protected from further pollution and am excited that Kristina has chosen to focus on Everglades restoration during her time as Miss Florida.”
