Jump$tart is a national coalition of organizations dedicated to improving the financial literacy of pre-kindergarten through college-age youth by providing advocacy, research, standards and educational resources. Jump$tart strives to prepare youth for life-long successful financial decision-making.

Each year, the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy celebrates Financial Literacy Month with a gala dinner in Washington, DC, which brings together about 300 of the nation’s leaders in the financial literacy effort and recognizes outstanding achievements in this campaign. Visa Inc.’s Practical Money Skills for Life program introduced its new, free Practical Money Course Curriculum at the White House Summit on Financial Capability and Empowerment in May of 2012. The dynamic financial literacy curriculum for 9–12 graders features engaging designs, student-centered activities, and tools and resources—all designed to engage students in learning the personal finance skills they need to succeed in life after high school.
