I was proud to have been a part of a Congressional Delegation to Afghanistan where we participated in the closing session of the International Joint Command's Female Engagement Team conference, bringing Afghan women leaders together to discuss increasing the role of women in Afghan society. It was inspiring to see so many involved in the hard work of helping democracy take root in that nation!
