Management Resources

Casualty assistance programs serve as the main point of information for commanders, service members, and their families for casualty support. Casualty Assistance Officers (Army and Air Force), Casualty Assistance Call Officers (Marine Corps and Navy), installation Family Support Centers, and Chaplains support injured service members and their families and families of deceased service members through the notification the families, provision of, and referral of families to, general benefits and entitlements information, and provision of emotional and spiritual support.

Operation Warfighter Program

Operation Warfighter Program is a DoD sponsored temporary assignment or internship program for service members who are undergoing therapy at military treatment facilities in the United States. Operation Warfighter is designed to provide recuperating service members with meaningful activity outside of the hospital environment that assists in their wellness and offers a formal means of transitioning back to the military or civilian workforce.

Heroes to Hometowns

Heroes to Hometowns provides assistance to injured service members who are transitioning back to civilian life through a network of national, state, and community organizations.
