Family Advocacy Program Directories of Contacts This is a link to directories of Family Advocacy Program Contacts. The directories are provided in PDF files for viewing, downloading and printing. Check back for a complete searchable directory in the near future.
Domestic Violence Awareness Podcasts These podcasts were developed to raise awareness about domestic violence and educate individuals and communities about what they can do to stop abuse from happening.
Military OneSource This site provides information and resources to help balance work and family life. Consultants are available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week by phone, online, or via email offering personalized support to any service member, DoD civilian personnel designated as Civilian Expeditionary Workforce, or family member. Military OneSource can connect individuals with a trained, state-licensed mental health professional in the community, telephonically, or online for confidential/private counseling. Military OneSource offers twelve free in-person counseling sessions per person, per issue. For those unable to attend face-to-face counseling, Military OneSource arranges telephone and online consultations.
Military OneSource can help victims of abuse find services in the civilian community and can also put them directly in touch with the National Domestic Violence Hotline. To contact Military OneSource by phone, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, call Stateside at 1-800-342-9647. The Military OneSource website lists specific dialing information for other countries.
The National Domestic Violence Hotline (NDVH) (1-800-799-SAFE or 1-800-799-7233) NDVH is an excellent resource in the civilian community for victims of domestic abuse. Hotline advocates are available twenty-four hours a day for victims and anyone calling on their behalf to provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and information and referrals to agencies in all fifty states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Hotline advocates provide confidential services to victims. Now available, resources in English and Spanish.
Materials Created by the National Domestic Violence Hotline for the Department of Defense These public education/awareness materials were created for the DoD by the National Domestic Violence Hotline. The materials are specifically geared towards a military audience and are all downloadable.
