Mid-Michigan Veterans Receive Medals from Combat

Earlier this week, Congressman Dave Camp (R-Midland) met with four local veterans to present medals they hadn’t previously received for their service in the United States armed forces.

“It is so important we honor our heroes,” Camp said. "These medals are a very sobering symbol when you think of the commitment people made,” Camp said.

Fireman First Class (USNR) Mr. Delton Miller of Midland, Michigan received the World War II Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, Honorable Service Lapel Button WWII, and Discharge Button.

Sergeant (Tech Fourth Grade) Mr. Robert L. Reisinger received the Bronze Star, Army Good Conduct, American Campaign, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign 3 Bronze Stars, World War II Victory, Combat Infantryman Badge, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star, and Honorable Service Lapel Button WWII.


Private First Class (rank) Mr. Ivan Estes received Good Conduct, American Campaign, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign, World War II Victory, Honorable Service Lapel Button WWII, and Expert Badge with Rifle Bar.


Fireman Mr. James H. Boyd received the Navy Good Conduct, National Defense Service, Korean Service, United Nations Service, and the Republic of Korea War Service medal.
