Incentives for Officers
You may be eligible for certain incentives or an Army National Guard bonus when becoming an officer in the National Guard. In addition to receiving a monthly paycheck, monetary incentives may include a cash bonus. Eligibility requirements for bonuses vary. You may qualify for:
- Officer Accession Bonus for critical skills (up to a maximum amount of $10,000)
- Officer Affiliation Bonus (up to a maximum amount of $10,000)
- Chaplain Loan Repayment Program (up to a maximum amount of $80,000)
- Healthcare Bonuses and Loans (Special pay up to $75,000; Loan repayments up to $240,000)
- Medical and Dental Student Stipend Program (monthly stipends over $2,000)
