Diggs Construction, LLC - Wichita business owner Dale Diggs’ construction company was built on a simple approach: finish the project on time, within budget, and according to the client’s specifications. This approach has proven very successful. Although Diggs Construction has established offices in Kansas City, Tulsa, Houston, and Hartford, Connecticut in its 33 year history, the company still calls Wichita home. Founded by Dale Diggs, the company serves both the private and public sector offering a full range of construction services, including program management, construction management, construction administration and general contracting. Over the years, Diggs has expanded its customer base to include the educational, residential, public/municipal, commercial/retail, hospitality and corporate sectors. In its most recent market expansion, Diggs Construction formed a division specifically to increase service offerings to the water, wastewater, storm water and transportation sectors. Some of the company’s largest clients include the city of Hartford, Connecticut, the city of Kansas City, Missouri, American Honda Corporation, Rice University, Texas Southern University, the Wichita Public School System, Spirit Aerosystems and the town of Bloomfield, Connecticut. SBA’s 8(a) program offers a broad scope of assistance to firms that are owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. Diggs participated in SBA’s 8(a) Business Development Program for tenyears, graduating from the program in 1990. Nearly two decades later, Diggs Construction stands as an excellent example of the spirit and intent of the 8(a) program – to graduate firms that will go on to thrive in America’s competitive business environment. The company’s core values of partnering, leadership, accountability, innovation and diversity outline their commitment to their customers, employees and communities. Diggs is also active in the community, as a member of the Wichita Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club, the Association of General Contractors, the National Business League and the Wichita Minority Development Council. He has also served on the board of directors for the Kansas Elks Training Center (KETCH), Rainbows United, Inc., the Wichita Art Museum, and the local Salvation Army.
