The DCO mission is designed to train on the fundamental skills that will enable successful completion of BOLC II. The training will establish a foundation in leadership, physical fitness, mental toughness, and tactical and technical proficiency.


DCO Overview

DCO is four weeks long. In general, each week is organized as follows:

  • Week 1 – In-processing, Land Navigation Map Reading, Classroom, Introduction to Army Operations and Graphics, Leaders Reaction Course, First Aid
  • Week 2 – First Aid, Confidence Course, Basic Rifle Marksmanship (BRM) Classroom Training and Range/Familiarization Fire
  • Week 3 – Land Navigation Day/Night Course, Call for Indirect Fire, Basic Military Communication, Basic Tactical Training, Night Infiltration Course
  • Week 4 – STX II (3 Day Field Exercise), Army Physical Fitness Test (Diagnostic APFT), Out-processing, Graduation

Throughout the course, students will demonstrate Army Values at all times.
