The Navy Match Racing World Championship Team leaves for Nice, France Sept 1st to compete in the World University Match Race Games. The team of Navy Midshipmen Taylor Vann `13, Phillip Youngberg `15, and Killian Corbishley `14, along with Ensign Jason Carminati will compete against teams from around the world who have each earned their right to represent their country in the games. Navy qualified for the World Championship by winning the 2011 Intercollegiate Sailing Association`s Match Race National Championship held in San Francisco, CA last November. This is an enormous accomplishment for Navy with the Midshipmen traveling to France not just to represent the Naval Academy, but also representing the United States in the championship.
