Physics Division is the major source of innovation in experimental physical science at LANL. Our science answers questions about the nature of the universe and delivers solutions for national security concerns. Physics Division maintains an outstanding base of technical research and accomplishments because of the diversity of its people and the breadth of its programs.

Our mission

Our mission is to further understand the physical world, generate new or improved technology in experimental physics, and establish a physics foundation for current and future Los Alamos programs.
