Mr. Bennett is a DOD civilian serving as the deputy commander of the Defense Logistics Agency's regional command for the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. He is a Logistics Management Specialist with more than 20 years of logistics leadership experience.
 
Bill began his professional career as a production manager in the private sector. He entered federal civil service through the U.S. Army Materiel Command's Supply Management Intern Program. Upon graduation from intern training he held a series of progressive assignments (i.e., inventory manager, supply systems analyst, team leader, and section chief) with the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command in Huntsville, Ala. He then served with the U.S. Army Europe, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, in Heidelberg, Germany. His assignments with USAREUR included chief of the Army Supply Systems Branch.
His initial assignment with the Defense Logistics Agency was as the Agency's embedded liaison to USCENTCOM during the planning and initial execution phases of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
 
Bill holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma and a master's degree in management from Florida Institute of Technology. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma's Army ROTC program, an honor graduate of the Quartermaster Officer Basic Course, and an honor graduate of the U.S. Army Materiel Command's Supply Management Intern School. He is an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve. He is currently completing requirements of the Defense Leadership and Management Program.
