Automated External Defibrilators
The Automated External Defibrillator (AEDs) has been deployed at the Washington, D.C., Headquarters. The Office of Surface Mining has purchased three defibrillators, and they are stationed in the fire extinguisher cabinet on each floor (except the basement). The basement's defibrillator is kept at the security officer's desk. Enclosed in each cabinet is a list of Designated Emergency Medical Responders who have been trained in the use of CPR/AED. We asked that you take some time to familiarize yourself with the location of the AEDs.
For assistance or additional information, contact Maurice Banks, Safety Manager, at jbanks@osmre.gov or by telephone (202) 208-2608.
