The Department of Defense Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) is currently accepting applications under examining authority of 10 U.S.C., Section 2164.  This position may be used for the purpose of filling multiple positions throughout the school year.  This position is to provide a training instructor to assist students to achieve optimum development of skills and mastery of knowledge by conducting assigned subject-matter or grade-level(s) instruction on a day to day on-call substitute basis, when a regular teacher is absent.

This is an Excepted Service Position.

The training instructor replaces the classroom teacher. The training instructor plans, organizes, and presents information and instruction which helps students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their educational and social development; has an instruction which is compatible with the school and system-wide curricular goals; interacts effectively with students, coworkers, and parents; carries out non-instructional duties as assigned and/or as needed; adheres to established laws, policies, rules, and regulations; and follows a plan for professional development. The training instructor reports to and is supervised by the principal.

Must meet OPM minimum qualification standards to be considered for this position.
