internships (Pathways Programs)OCC is looking for high-caliber, self-motivated students to begin their professional careers with an internship that offers challenging and meaningful assignments. Our interns make significant contributions to the OCC’s mission. We respect our interns and value their opinions. The following lists the types of internships we offer, as well as descriptions of opportunities:

Qualifications and Type of Degree For all internship programs, except the Summer Internship Program, we expect applicants to pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree. The type of degree will depend on the position. For the Summer Internship Program, persons seeking any type of degree (high school, associates, undergraduate, graduate, etc.) may apply.
Length of Internship Opportunities may be temporary in nature, or ones that lead to conversion to a permanent (or in rare cases, term) position at the OCC. To convert to a permanent or term position, an intern must:
Application Process OCC will post announcements on USAJOBS on an as-needed basis. To apply to one or more Internships listed above, search for a job announcement posted on www.usajobs.gov. Use search criteria “Internship and OCC”. You may also click here. Note: Applicants must have a USAJOBS account to apply for OCC internships. For each announcement, applicants must submit a resume, an unofficial transcript (or proof of school enrollment on official stationary), and a DD-214 if claiming veterans’ preference. Directions on how to submit are explained in the announcement. If an applicant accepts an internship, an official transcript will be required prior to appointment.
