SNODAS Model Adjustments:

A model adjustment for snowfall and snowmelt was done on April 27 for the interior West and Great Basin, the Rockies, and some higher elevations in the High Plains. In Nevada, Utah, and the southern Rockies, mainly 2 to 3 inches of water were added at higher elevations. In Oregon, Idaho, and the northern Rockies, 1 to 2 inches of water were added except for east-central Idaho, where up to 1/2 inch of water was removed. Up to 2 1/2 inches of water was added in the southern Bighorns, and 1 1/2 inches of water was added to the Black Hills.

Also on April 27, a model adjustment was done for Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine which used ground survey data. Two to 4 inches of water were removed from northwestern Maine, and most of northern Maine had at least an inch of water. Up to 4 inches of water were added in southwestern Maine through central New Hampshire, but most areas in this band had 1 to 2 inches of water added, mainly at higher elevations.
