SOUDA BAY, Crete (May 30, 2011) Boatswain's Mate Third Class Anthony Woo, a coxswain serving aboard USS Robert G. Bradley (FFG 49), maneuvers a double-engined rigid-hulled inflatable boat (RHIB) during a RHIB evolution conducted with coxswains from the Greek armed forces during Phoenix Express 2011. The training teaches junior coxswains how to maneuver efficiently a RHIB alongside a vessel suspected of carrying suspicious cargo for the Bradley's Visit, Board, Search and Seizure team to climb successfully aboard. PE-11, a three-week exercise divided into in-port and underway training phases, is designed to enhance regional maritime partnerships among the 13 participating countries in their efforts to deter illicit trafficking at sea.
