National Renewable Energy Laboratory supports OPIC’s renewable energy & energy efficiency effort
The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) – the only national laboratory which takes renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies from concept to commercial application – is making its resources available to OPIC. Through a new arrangement with OPIC and its sister USG agencies, NREL will serve as an on-call advisor for initial project screening, due diligence and analysis for renewable resources projects, helping to answer baseline questions which can sometimes cause prospective sponsors to stumble at the first hurdle. Access to such a first-rate resource will help raise the efficiency of OPIC’s project support to new levels.
