Changes to the Federal Acquisition Regulations on November 12, 2008, (FAR amendment, 73 Fed. Reg. 67064) required all federal contractors to disclose to Inspectors General credible evidence of a violation of Federal criminal law involving fraud, conflict of interest, bribery, or a gratuity violation, or a violation of the civil False Claims Act, where such evidence arises in connection with a federal contract. The Rule requires such disclosure even as to conduct that occurred before December 12, 2008.
