The top export categories (2-digit HS) in 2011were: Mineral Fuel (oil) ($1.5 billion), Cotton, Yarn and Fabric ($1.0 billion), Special Other (low value shipments and articles donated for relief) ($420 million), Electrical Machinery ($414 million), and Manmade Staple Fibers ($371 million).

U.S. exports of agricultural products to Honduras totaled $633 million in 2011. Leading categories include: coarse grains ($143 million), wheat ($69 million), soybean meal ($68 million), and rice ($58 million).

Imports

Honduras was the United States' 48th largest supplier of goods imports in 2011.

U.S. goods imports from Honduras totaled $4.5 billion in 2011, a 14.4% increase ($568 million) from 2010, and up 45.6% from 2000. U.S. imports from Honduras are up 20.0% from 2005 (Pre-FTA).

The five largest import categories in 2011 were: Knit Apparel ($2.2 billion), Woven Apparel ($471 million), Electrical Machinery ($450 million), Edible Fruit and Nuts (mostly bananas) ($240 million), and Spice, Tea, and Coffee (mostly coffee) ($234 million).

U.S. imports of agricultural products from Honduras totaled $590 million in 2011. Leading categories include: coffee (unroasted) ($231 million), bananas and plantains ($182 million), and fresh fruit ($56 million).
