Data Download - 1 Million-Scale Data

After years of painstaking compilation, review, and vertical integration, the National Atlas introduced 1 – a new set of digital cartographic frameworks at one million-scale. We created this page to make them easier for you to find and get.

These data are at twice the scale of our previous frameworks and provide a greater number of features. Each map layer was subjected to rigorous cartographic review at compilation and again when the map layers were vertically integrated.

In addition to the shapefiles listed in the table below, the National Atlas will also deliver these map layers in ESRI geodatabase format by the end of the summer of 2012. This will include fully-networked hydrography in 21 regional geodatabases.
