JOB SUMMARY:
The Department of the Interior is devoted to protecting and preserving the natural resources of this great nation, including National Parks, Landmarks, and the well-being of communities, including those of Native American, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and affiliated Islanders.
The Office of Law Enforcement and Securitys (OLES) Victim Assistance Program is located within the Office of the Secretary and advises a total of seven law enforcement agencies l within the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Bureau of Land Management, the Bureau of Reclamation, the National Park Service and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. These bureaus and offices serve diverse populations and missions, yet are committed to providing victim services to tribal members and millions of visitors from home and abroad. The incumbent will develop and implement specific programs activities within the department the promote compliance with federal victim-witness laws and Department guidelines.
The incumbent will serve as the Victim Assistance Program Manager located in Washington, DC.
