What is the purpose of the Global Intellectual Property Education Database?
Pursuant to the 2010 Joint Strategic Plan on Intellectual Property Enforcement, the United States Government will increase the coordination and promote the efficient use of resources to strengthen intellectual property enforcement. This database is a repository to deposit international intellectual property enforcement training materials or catalogs in a shared database so that all agencies have access to them to promote greater consistency and to avoid duplication and waste of resources.

What United States Government agencies can participate?
Any USG agency can participate. Each agency is required to provide an activity and or a training program to promote the strategy of: 1) leading by example; 2) increasing transparency; 3) ensuring efficiency and coordination; 4) enforcing our rights internationally; 5) securing our supply chain; and 6) building a data driven government in intellectual property enforcement.

How do I register?
Click register on the homepage and fill in the required information. After you are approved then you can start adding your activity information. Each agency may have more than one System Administrator. The System Administrator can add, edit and delete any program added by that agency. The System Administer can also grant User rights.

How do I become a User?
Click register on the homepage and fill in the required information. A User will be approved by the System Administrator of your agency. A User will have add, edit and delete capabilities to only the programs he/she enters into the database.

How do I add an activity or program?
First login, then select Add Activity at the bottom of the homepage. Enter information into each field and click next. After adding the activity information

What is a leading agency?
A leading agency is an agency that is responsible for the activity, event, or program planning. The leading agency is the sponsor and controls the agenda and activities taking place with the meeting, event or program.

What is a participating agency?
A participating agency is an agency that speaks, or is constructive in the planning of an activity, event, or program with a leading agency.
